Geneva Dry 2025 set to cement position as world’s premier commodities shipping conference

Marketing officially gets underway today for the 2025 edition of Geneva Dry, the world’s premier commodities shipping conference.

Due to take place at the Hotel President Wilson on the shore of Lake Geneva on April 28 and 29 next year, a new line-up of sessions has been unveiled today, with interested delegates also able to see the start of a stellar cast of speakers.

Geneva Dry made its debut last month with around 600 delegates with organisers forced to issue a ‘Sold Out’ sign prior to the event. Working with the same hotel for the next edition, a new lay-out for the dry bulk showcase will allow for more delegates to attend next year. Interested parties are urged to book early to ensure a pass as well as the discounted hotel rooms reserved across six hotels for attendees.

As well as familiar sessions such as iron ore, coal, agri-commodities, minor bulks and dry decarbonisation, Geneva Dry 2025 features some new panels based on feedback from attendees to this year’s show. New sessions include a 50-minute special of forward freight agreements, a chartering spotlight, while digital efficiency drivers at port and then at sea will form the first two sessions on Day Two. Another highlight based on how much discussion there was on the topic at this year’s event will be a high-level discussion on electric vehicles and how they are supercharging dry bulk.

“We’re really grateful for all the fantastic feedback we got from this year’s summit, and we’ve taken it all onboard to freshen up the agenda for next year where we’re confident we have come up with an engaging, insightful line-up of sessions,” commented Sam Chambers, co-organiser of Geneva Dry.

Confirmed speakers include Eman Abdalla, global operations and supply chain director at Cargill Ocean Transportation, John Michael Radziwill, CEO and chairman at CTM, Karim Coumine, manager of chartering for minor bulks at Anglo American, Khalid Hashim, managing director of Precious Shipping, Olivia Lennox-King, COO of Cetus Maritime, Peter Weernink, chairman of SwissMarine, and Tim Huxley, the CEO of Mandarin Shipping, who will be returning to the stage as one of the most engaging moderators in the maritime calendar.

Once again, SUISSENÉGOCE has confirmed it will be a supporter of the event. The Swiss Commodity Trading Association represents the interests of those involved in trading, shipping, banks involved in the financing of raw materials, insurance companies, law firms, and affiliated service companies.

“This event offers a unique opportunity for stakeholders across the dry bulk supply chain to discuss critical challenges, share innovations, and explore potential collaborations that could lead to sustainable growth and efficiency in the industry,” commented Florence Schürch, SUISSENÉGOCE’s secretary-general.

Sponsors and delegates are already signing up for the return of this unique global event, dedicated to exploring the needs of shipping’s largest segment with a number of trading houses, brokers and industry associations also lining up their own parties and gatherings on the sidelines.
