Lars Modin takes over at Masterbulk

Former V.Ships exec Lars Modin has taken over as CEO of Singapore owner Masterbulk this month, replacing Nicholas Fisher.

Fisher left Masterbulk last June, leaving chairman Stephen Fordham to run the company in the interim. Modin, who started this month, spent over eleven years with V.Ships and International Tanker Management. He started his career ashore with Stolt Nielsen.

Masterbulk is the shipowning vehicle for Westfal-Larsen, running a fleet of 20 open hatch gantry crane vessels.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
