Tanto Intim Line takes H Schepers boxship

Indonesia’s leading domestic container outfit, Tanto Intim Line, has added its third sub-panamax boxship, sources tell Splash.

The family owned line has quietly taken the 2,447 teu Helene S from H Schepers for just $10m, a bargain according to the $10.68m price VesselsValue has on the ship. The sale leaves Germany’s H Schepers with just one vessel left.

Tanto Intim is a diverse box player with 34 box ships in its fleet, counting 25 feeders, seven handysizes and three sub-panamaxes. The company is heavily involved in infrastructure developments with yard facilities in every port. Its site says that it manages a total of 246,000 sq m of container yards in Surabaya and Jakarta.
