Larsen & Toubro scoops Aramco project
Doha: India's Larsen & Toubro has won a contract to build facilities at a gas field worth about $300m from Saudi Aramco.
Larsen & Toubro, the largest Indian company for contracting and engineering, is looking to internationalise it portfolio of business and recently won a construction project in at Abu Dhabi airport.
Krishnamurthi Venkataramanan, the chief executive of the company, said they are competing to win other projects in the region worth about $3bn, including other construction work for Aramco and an oil refinery in Oman, adding that the international competition is intense. [06/06/13]
