Malaysian shipyard TH Heavy Engineering has received a petition for winding-up, which was presented to The Kuala Lumpur High Court of Malaya, by Six Tee Engineering Groups.
Six Tee Engineering claims that THHE owes the company RM3.6m ($897,000) for the provision of services as part of the execution of hull and marine (RLEC) detailed design for the Layang FPSO Project.
The hearing is fixed on 29th September 2016, and THHE said it has sought legal advice on the matter with a view of defeating the petition altogether.
Last week, THHE’s subsidiary THHE Fabricators also received a winding-up petition from creditors due to unpaid debts and in April was barred from participating in Petronas Carigali’s future tenders for two years due to “performance-related issues” with its work at the Kinabalu natural gas project.
