KL relaunches the Malaysia Logistics Council
Kuala Lumpur: The government has decided to bring back the Malaysian Logistics Council (MLC) after a three-year hiatus. The council is to be run by the secretaries-general of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry and the Transport Ministry.
The council now has a newly revised organisational structure that includes a steering committee and four focus groups, namely on transport and infrastructure; institutional framework and regulatory; industry, best practices and development initiatives; and trade facilitation.
Among initial projects for discussion has been the Port Klang road system. [16/12/13]
