Australian market remains challenging

Shanghai: Winkey Shipping, a breakbulk shipping line which offers dedicated services between China and Australia, and also one of the major carriers for many large scale projects in Australia including the Sino Iron project, finds that the breakbulk market in the region is still challenging.

“We normally ship project cargoes from China to Australia and carry ore products on the way back using our MPPs, but in the past two years, the suspension of many large projects has affected the breakbulk cargo market in the region. We still see it as a challenging market but we expect the raw material shipping market will gradually get better,” an operation manager from Winkey Shipping told SinoShip News. [18/03/13]
