AVIC orders panamax bulker pair for Shandong Shipping at Jinling Shipyard

Chinese financial leasing firm AVIC International Leasing has placed an order at Sinotrans & CSC affiliated Jinling Shipyard for the construction of two 82,000 dwt panamax bulk carriers.

The vessels will be leased to Shandong Shipping’s Singapore bulker unit, SDTR Marine, upon delivery in the second half of 2019.

SDTR Marine had previously ordered a total of ten 82,000 dwt bulkers at Jinling Shipyard and the company is set to take delivery of the sixth of the ten vessels this month.

SDTR Marine currently operates a fleet of five panamax bulkers, and has another 9 on order at Jinling Shipyard and Chengxi Shipyard.
