Batangas port study underway

Manila: The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has handed out a P16.27m contract to Science & Vision for Tech and Syconsult to carry out a study on how to boost the use of Batangas port to help ease conditions in congested Manila.

"It's a way to go forward. While our move is to decongest Metro Manila, we should study how to properly divert cargoes to Subic and Batangas," Philippine Ports Authority general manager Juan Sta Ana said.  [24/09/13]
