Singapore: Kwek Kok Beng has been named as a new non-executive director of Singapore-listed Beng Kuang Marine.
Kwek has held the position of executive director, China shipyards for PaxOcean Engineering since July 2013.
He replaces Cheong Hock Wee, who has stepped down from his position of non-executive director to “pursue other career opportunities”. Cheong has held the post at Beng Kuang Marine for two years, and is currently chief operating officer of the DDW-PaxOcean Asia Group.
On December 11, unusual price movements in Beng Kuang Marine shares prompted a query from the Singapore Exchange’s head of surveillance. The company said it had no explanation for the activity. [17/12/14]
