Borr Drilling awarded four new jackup contracts

Norway’s Borr Drilling has announced four new contracts for its jackup rigs, along with two extensions, in its latest fleet status report.

Prospector 1 has won a new contract with Total in the Netherlands, running through from November 2019 to February 2020. The 2013-built rig was previously working with Tulip in the Netherlands.

Galar and Njord have been awarded contracts with Pemex in Mexico, with both contracts from February 2020 through to July 2021. The rigs are currently in Singapore being prepared for mobilisation. 2013-built Idun is also being prepared for mobilisation from Singapore after it was awarded a new contract in Vietnam with Hoang Long from November 2019 to February 2020.

Lastly, Frigg was extended from December 2019 to November 2020 in Nigeria, while Mist was extended from December 2019 through to April 2020 by Vestigo Petroleum in Malaysia.
