Boustead to build yard in Port Klang

Kuala Lumpur: Boustead Holdings is buying Port Klang Cruise Centre (PKCC) and nine parcels of land around the area for RM310m from receivers and managers of the properties, in a move to expand its oil and gas investments.

PKCC was part of the Glenn Marine Group connected to businessman Leonard Glenn Francis, who is currently on trial for bribing a US Navy commander with cash and prostitutes.

Boustead said it plans to develop an oil and gas ship repair and shipbuilding yard on the land purchased as well as to maintain the cruise and jetty operations at PKCC.  [24/07/14]
