Bumi Armada bullish on more FPSO contracts
Kuala Lumpur: Bumi Armada is confident of bagging more floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) tenders.
Two tender results in Indonesia are likely to be made known next month, "We are always optimistic. We are confident of getting the tenders as we feel that we have done enough work to position ourselves well for these projects," ceo Hassan Basma told local media yesterday.
The company is involved in 12 FPSO projects at the moment.
Basma also spoke about dramatic OSV expansion plans. "Through a build/buy strategy we aim to increase both the size of our fleet from current 40 vessels to 80 vessels in five years to serve clients in Asia, Africa and Latin America," he said. [21/08/13]
