BW Offshore has agreed an interim extension Nigerian Agip Exploration, a subsidiary of Italy’s Eni, for the lease and operation of FPSO Abo.
.The FPSO came off a one-year contract at the end of March, although Eni has yet to commit to a longer-term extension, which it has available through to 2023. The extension secures operation of the FPSO while negotiations continue.
The 1976-built FPSO has been operating offshore Nigeria in the Abo field since 2003.
