Beijing: According to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China completed 20.6m dwt of shipbuilding volume in the first half of 2013, topping South Korea as the top global shipbuilding market.
By the end of June, orders on hand stand at 108.98m dwt, a decline of 13.4% year-on-year, with newly received orders making up 22.9m dwt, an increase of 113.2% year-on-year. [12/07/13]
