CNOOC considers Iceland investment
Hong Kong: The state-owned offshore oil and gas producer, CNOOC, is looking for investment opportunities in North Europe including Iceland. Li Fanrong, ceo of the company, said at a shareholder meeting in Hong Kong, the company has been in contact with the Iceland government, Li revealed.
In addition, the company is planning to tap new gas reserves in the South China Sea, according to Wang Yilin, chairman of CNOOC.
The company is confident of achieving an annual output target to produce 338m to 348m barrels of oil equivalent this year, excluding the output at Nexen. [28/11/13]
