Beijing: Oil and gas producer, CNOOC, has announced that its Rochelle gas field in the North Sea has commenced operation.
The operation began at West Rochelle, while East Rochelle is expected to put into operation in the fourth quarter of the year.
Nexen Petroleum UK, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CNOOC, is the field operator and holds 41% interest in the field. Endeavor International Corporation and Premier Oil hold 44% and 15% respectively. [28/10/13]
