CNPC’s head moves to SASAC
Beijing: Jiang Jiemin, chairman of China’s largest oil and gas producer and supplier, China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), has been appointed as the new head of the nation’s top assets regulator department, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).
Jiang will be the third head of the SASAC, and become the first enterprise executive to be promoted to this position rather than a government official.
Zhou Jiping, vice-chairman of PetroChina, the listed arm of CNPC, will take over from Jiang as the company's chairman, according to the announcement released by the company. [19/03/13]
