Diana Shipping fixes capesize to Koch Shipping

Greek owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Koch Shipping Singapore for its 2005-built capesize bulk carrier Baltimore.

The charter commenced on June 6 and is for a period of 12-14 months. The gross charter rate is $18,050 per day, up from $11,300 when the 177,243 dwt vessel was chartered to Cargill International in its previous contract.

Diana Shipping says the contract will generate $6.23m of revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Last month, Diana Shipping also sealed a time charter contract with Koch Shipping for 2013-built capesize P.S. Palios.
