Dubai: Following successful trading in Dubai for a number of years, Fanar Marine Services has announced its global launch into the international shipping market.
Established in 2007, Fanar Marine Services provides shipboard and shore-based inspections and surveying services, cargo logistics management and an array of offshore services.
FMS offers specialist services including state inspections, condition and value surveys, insurance loss, P&I Club investigations and Port Captain functions.
Catering exclusively to the tanker industry through its subsidiary Fanar Marine Tanker Services (FMTS), its services also include conducting OCIMF-SIRE Inspections for Oil Majors and Inspections on behalf of the Chemical Distribution Institute.
Captain Suprotik Guha, managing director of Fanar maintains the company’s motto is ‘Dedication and quality at its best’.
He tells Maritime CEO about international expansion plans.
“We are expanding by building up a network of strategic partnerships, having established a very successful one in Singapore and we are looking at other maritime hubs and areas,” he says.
Asia will be the region that Fanar concentrates on to begin with. “Initially we will focus on the East as there is so much happening there and then in the fullness of time move across Europe,” he concludes. [24/06/14]
