Singapore: Former Petronas president and ceo, Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican, has been appointed as deputy chairman of Sembcorp Marine.
Marican was the President & CEO of Malaysia’s Petronas from 1995 until February 2010, and has been a director at Sembcorp since October 2011, also serving as a member on the board’s audit committee.
Goh Geok Ling, chairman of the board said “I am pleased that Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican has accepted the appointment as Deputy Chairman to the Board. His extensive experience in the oil and gas industry coupled with his vast knowledge in finance and management would be invaluable to the Group.” [20/08/13]
