Hanoi courts private investors

Hanoi: Vietnam’s Minister of Transportation Dinh La Thang has called on the private sector to support planned maritime infrastructure projects.

A total of 41 projects have been outlined in the coming five years that will need some $2bn in investment.

The government has come under pressure to reduce its holdings in maritime project, to allow private firms to have majority shareholdings to encourage more investment.  [27/01/15]
