Inland port Guoyuan launches European service

Shanghai: The Chinese inland port Guoyuan, located at the upper reaches of Yangtze river has launched cargo transfer services to European countries with an annual handling capacity of 300m tons.
The port will be connected with Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway, and cargo from the lower reaches of the Yangtze River in eastern and central China can be transported to Europe via the port.
Local authorities have approved inspection and customs supervision in the port's container terminal, which could further expand the port's foreign trade business. [19/12/13]
