Jensen confirms his departure from Frontline and Flex LNG

Jens Martin Jensen has confirmed to Splash he resigned from his position as director of Frontline Ltd and from the Fredriksen group as of December 1.

Jensen (pictured) has also resigned from his positions as director of Oslo-listed Flex LNG and as chairman of its audit committee, which he has held since October 2014. He will be replaced by Marius Hermansen, Frontline Management’s director of S&P/projects.

Jensen said his resignation from the Flex board was natural, given that he was representing the interest of John Fredriksen, Flex LNG’s largest shareholder.

After joining Frontline in September 2004 as commercial director, Jensen rose to become CEO of Frontline Management in May 2009, before handing over to Robert McLeod in November 2014. He was also CEO of Frontline Ltd between April 2008 until May 2009.
