KSS Line takes Scorpio MR tanker

In the middle of last week, New York-listed Scorpio Tankers revealed that it had sealed a deal to sell a nine-year-old MR that it bought out of lease financing in 2022.

The product tanker giant revealed that it had sold the SPP-built MR2 STI Tribeca for $39.1m, with delivery in the first quarter.  Now, brokers have tied South Korea’s KSS Line as the ship’s taker.

KSS Line has stayed quiet in the secondhand market for years. The 12-ship tanker player has a young fleet valued at some $827m, according to VesselsValue, focusing on large LPGs where it has 10 ships.
