Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian offshore fabricator TH Heavy Engineering (THHE) is keen to get into new overseas markets including the Middle East and Myanmar.
"We are already in India and we're keen to go to the Middle East. Myanmar is another market that is opening up and we're quite keen to go there too," said managing director and CEO Nor Badli Mohd Alias yesterday.
Nor Badli said THHE can be stronger in overseas ventures now that it has just established a tie up with McDermott International.
"With this JV, we want to be known as a top tier player in the Malaysian offshore market. We want to be able to deliver the full end-to-end services to our client starting from engineering, ending at commissioning so that it is ready to be handed over to the operators for first oil.
"With McDermott, we'll be able to do higher value and more complex projects and the bigger picture is to also be involved in deep water fabrication business," he added. [04/06/13]
