Shanghai: MAN Diesel & Turbo celebrated the opening of its new PrimeServ centre in Shanghai yesterday.
The new PrimeServ centre in the Yangshan Bonded Area has an operating area of nearly 6,000 sq m, almost triple the size of its old facility in Zhanjiang Hi-Tech Park. It includes an office building, a research building and a workshop building.
“Although the shipping market will remain depressed this year, China has become the largest shipbuilding and ship repair market, also there are more shipping companies and investors ordering vessels at low prices, we expect our orders in China will remain growing this year,” said Ralph Klaunig, general manager of MAN PrimeServ China. “In the future, we will open another two service centres in China and a new logistics company is also opening soon,” he added.
