Shanghai: Mingde Heavy Industry has started construction of two Equinox Class Bulk Carriers for Algoma Central Corporation.
The new ship type was jointly designed by Algoma’s project team and Deltamarine and it is considered to be more efficient and more eco-friendly.
Currently Algoma have eight Equinox Class vessels under construction and these new vessels will improve trading capacity by 15-20%. The first of them will join Algoma’s domestic fleet in the beginning of the 2013 navigation season. [30/07/12]
