Kuala Lumpur: Brand new entity Icon Offshore is looking for a local listing in 2014. The Malaysian OSV operator is a merger of two Ekuinas Nasional subsidiaries, Tanjung Kapal Services (TKS) and OMNI Petromaritime.
Ekunias bought out TKS from Tanjung Offshore in July and then made a RM220.9m investment in OMNI, another OSV operator in Malaysia, two months ago. Ekunias is keen to pursue further merger and acquisitions to grow Icon, top management has said. Icon also has ships at yards to deliver, including two PSVs next year which will take Icon’s fleet to 30 vessels. [21/11/12]
