Shanghai: Ningbo Shipping Exchange has introduced its first shipping index, Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI).
“The NCFI will have both significant practical and historical meaning to the shipping industry of Ningbo,” said an official from Ningbo Shipping Exchange.
“Shipping companies and trading companies can estimate their cost according to the index and avoid some uncontrollable risk from freight fluctuation,” the official added. [10/09/13]
