NGM Energy sells aframax for $38m

In the last couple of years, Greek owner NGM Energy has been one of the most active Greek owners in S&P, raking in millions as a smart asset player.

In 2022, VesselsValue listed 11 ships out and four in, while in 2021, 10 ships were added while nine ships were sold.

The year 2023 appears to have been quiet, but now the first sale has emerged, with NGM Energy selling the 14-year-old New Times-built aframax, Ace, for $38m, a ship it bought in 2015 when it was named Acadia, for the same price. The identity of the buyer has yet to be revealed.

The NGM fleet list counts 25 ships, a mix of tankers and bulkers valued at some $640m with an average age of 13 years.
