Oilfield opens up, Libyan strikes on the wane

Cairo: Another oilfield strike in Libya has been broken up today.
The oilfields opening up around the city of Cyrenaica are thought to be the first of a series of oilfields and ports that will stop striking in the coming days as lengthy discussions between the national government and various factions seem to be making significant progress.
Libya’s oil output has been cut by some 90% in the past six weeks on the back of huge strikes at oilfields and ports, especially in the east of the country.  [16/09/13]
