Dalian: Cara Shipping, the Singapore-registered shipping arm of Rizhao Steel, has ordered five 18,000 dwt bulk carriers at three Chinese shipyards.
Cara has ordered two bulkers each at Dalian Shipbuilding Industry and Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry and one bulker at Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
The first vessel is expected to delivered in 2015 and the rest will be delivered in 2016.
Currently Cara Shipping operates a fleet of 12 bulkers with a total capacity of 2.05m dwt. [13/09/13]
