Seaway 7 lands East Anglia Three offshore wind deal

Subsea 7’s offshore wind service specialist, Seaway 7, has firmed up a contract with ScottishPower Renewables for the East Anglia Three offshore wind project in the UK.

The deal, worth between $500m and $750m, includes the transport and installation of 95 foundations and inner-array cables and comes a year after the preferred bidder agreement was announced.

The 1.4 GW East Anglia Three is located approximately 70 km from shore in the Southern North Sea and is one of the three consented offshore wind farm developments that form the East Anglia Hub.

Seaway 7 will, in addition to the heavy lifting and cable-laying vessels, also utilise its heavy transportation fleet to handle the transportation scope. Offshore activities are scheduled to commence in 2024.
