Sincere Industrial in for six Namura handies

Taiwanse owner Sincere Industrial has ordered six 34,000 dwt bulk carriers, at Namura Shipbuilding in Japan, continuing building up its fleet of handysizes.

An official at Sincere Industrial confirmed the order to Splash and said the company expects the ships to bring business opportunities from the ship chartering market. The ships will be delivered in 2017.

The low profile shipowning and management outfit has only ships built in Japan in its fleet which counts close to 20 ships in the water, mostly modern. In addition the company has a heavy newbuilding program of around 15 ships, ordered at its friends at Namura, Imabari and Kanda.

The handysize specialist offers its vessels to charterers who typically engage in three- to five-year charter parties.
