Singapore PM outlines port shift to Tuas
Singapore: Singapore’s prime minister Lee Hsien Loong yesterday laid out a master plan for the city state that will see the port shifted to a new area away from downtown.
In an annual National Day address, Lee said the port would shift to Tuas in western Singapore from 2027 freeing up land in Tanjong Pagar, next to the central business district, for a new waterfront city.
He also unveiled plans for a fourth runway at Changi Airport. [19/08/13]
