Sinotrans invests in bonded logistics centre at Luzhou

Shanghai: Sinotrans, China’s largest logistics provider, has signed with the Luzhou city government in Sichuan province to develop a bonded logistics center in Luzhou port.

The logistics center will be located next to the container terminal at Luzhou port and Sinotrans will invest RMB200m in the project, which is expected to be completed by June 2014.

Luzhou port is the largest inland port in Sichuan province, and it is developing phase 2 of its container terminal which will have the capability to handle 1m teu annually.

“It is a strategic move to choose Luzhou port to develop the project, Sinotrans will use it to expand the business in Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou,” said an official from Sinotrans. [30/05/13]
