Beijing: The northern bulk cargo centre, Tianjin port, started construction of a heavy equipment terminal at Dagukou port area this weekend.
This project aims to solve the current bottleneck for handling large-size equipment at Tianjin port by improving the port’s function and layout.
The whole project includes four 50,000 dwt fitting-out berths and a major cargo berth, which is expected to be completed by the end of next year. [05/08/13]
