Tsakos takes BP aframax pair

Greece’s Tsakos has been revealed by brokers as the buyer of two BP aframaxes. The 114,000 dwt sisterships British Merlin and British Curlew are being sold for $14.3m and $15m each respectively.

BP’s fleet has been gradually cut back this year. At the end of September if offloaded the MR tanker pair British Esteem and British Explorer to Indonesia’s Soechi Lines for $10.5m each.
