Wisdom Marine back at Tsuneishi for kamsarmax duo

Taiwan’s Wisdom Marine has returned to Tsuneishi Shipbuilding with a deal for two newbuild kamsarmax bulk carriers and delivery in 2026.

The Taipei-based owner, led by Lan Chun Sheng (James Lan), said in a stock exchange filing that the pair of 82,400 dwt would cost up to $80m.

Tsuneishi Zhoushan in China had already delivered several kamsarmax newbuilding projects for Wisdom. The latest deal follows an order for three units at the yard in June 2021, worth around 102m.

Wisdom Marine boasts a fleet of more than 100 bulk carriers with an average age of about seven years. The company’s fleet profile is expected to further improve in the next two-to-three years after the delivery of 18 newbuilds.

In related news on dry bulk newbuildings, Clarksons reports that Japan’s Kasuga Kaiun booked a pair of ultramaxes at Chinese builder New Dayang for delivery in the second half of 2026.
