Dalian: Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has officially signed shipbuilding contracts with Australian company Fortescue Metals (FMG) yesterday for the construction of four 261,000dwt VLOCs. The contract worth $275m in total.
The four vessels will be built at Yangzijiang-affiliated Yangzi Xinfu Shipyard with deliveries scheduled between November 2016 and May 2017.
It is the first time that Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has ever secured VLOC orders. [28/07/14]
