Kuala Lumpur: Yinson Holdings has announced that the consortium of Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte and Yinson Production West Africa Limited have been awarded a contract for the chartering, operation and maintenance of an FPSO facility by eni Ghana Exploration & Production at the Offshore Cape Three Points Block, located in the Tano Basin approximately 60km off the coast of Ghana. The contract took effect on January 27.
The contract is for a firm charter period of 15 years with 5 yearly extension options. The estimated value of the contract during the firm charter period is up to $2.539bn and it can be extended to $3.256bn if eni Ghana exercises all 5 options.
In the meantime, Yinson Holding also announced it has completed the purchase of a tanker, Ulriken, from Golden State Petro for $26.25m. [28/01/15]
