Landmark bunkering initiative

Singapore – Cross Keys Group, a business consulting firm for marine and energy clients, today announced the completion of Quality Management System for Bunker Supply Chain procedure for RN-Bunker, a sister company of Rosneft Marine.

Cross Keys Group acted as an advisory partner to RN-Bunker & Rosneft Marine to initiate the process two years ago to ensure that Rosneft’s Quality Management System for Bunker Supply Chain is accurately drafted, documented, managed and implemented across the supply chain network.

To meet the global best practice requirements for bunker supply in Russia, RN-Bunker singed an agreement to initiate a Quality Management System for Bunker  Supply Chain project with a view to accredit the quality management system for the bunker supply chain after implementing and running the system in all their bunker supply processes for six months.  Rosneft Marine initiated the idea of implementing Quality Management System for Bunker Supply Chain across the Russian supply chain network of RN-Bunker with the aim to establish a consistent control over the quality of bunker fuel supply.

Oleg Micevic, Director, Cross Keys Group, Singapore said, “RN – Bunker’s vision of introducing seamless standardized procedures in Russian ports will deliver a relationship of trust with bunker industry stakeholders ensuring compliant, reliable and consistent bunker deliveries. We are delighted to be working with RN- Bunker, Rosneft Marine, Lloyd’s Register FOBAS and Saybolt on the Quality Management System for Bunker Supply Chain project. We are pleased to have facilitated our expertise in managing and bringing together diverse companies to lay the stepping-stone of the first national quality management standard in Russia.”

The Lloyd’s Register FOBAS consultancy involvement in Quality Management System for Bunker Fuel Supply Chain was led by Douglas Raitt, Global Fobas Manager based in Singapore. Raitt explained “RN-Bunkers efforts to establish an unbroken chain of control over the quality of bunker fuel supplied in their ports of operation holds a bright future. RN Bunkers move to synergize and roll out standard traceable and well documented bunker operations across the board will further enhance the quality of their bunker supply and give their customers greater assurance. The key to managing bunker supplies is having a well documented process: a process that is clear, accountable and professional providing buyers with the confidence that they need when procuring fuel from a marine fuel supplier.“
