ZMPC Shipping plans to grow fleet to meet demand

Shanghai: While lots of the shipowners are suffering from overcapacity and trying to rid themselves of it, ZMPC Shipping, the shipping arm of Shanghai’s leading heavy industry giant ZMPC, is eager to add more capacity as it struggles to meet its constantly growing demand mostly thanks to the fast growing global business of parent ZPMC.

“The past year has been a good year for us, our current capacity has already saturated and sometimes we have to reject some contracts as we don’t have enough capacity for them, so we are eager to add to the fleet and now the senior management is making plans,” Wang Beijun, a project manager of ZMPC told SinoShip News.

Currently ZMPC Shipping operates a fleet of 22 multi purpose vessels including four semi-submesible vessels. [14/03/13]
