Germany’s Ernst Russ Group has acquired 2007-built 700 teu geared containership Skogafoss in cooperation with a strategic partner.
in cooperation with a strategic partner.The vessel was acquired from Briese Schiffahrts and has been operating on the North-Atlantic shipping routes. It will be delivered into a charter with the Iceland’s Eimskip.
Ernst Russ says the deal will generate constant revenues from operations and develops its position as an asset and investment holding company for maritime investments.
The vessel has a market value of around $3.16m according to VesselsValue, however the acquisition price was not revealed by Ernst Russ.
