Diana Shipping sends kamsarmax on time charter to Cargill

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping, via a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, has entered into a time charter contract with Cargill International for kamsarmax dry bulk vessel Myrto.

The 2013-built vessel fetched a gross charter rate of just $6,000 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties. The charter commenced today and is for a period of ten to about thirteen months.

Diana said the deal will generate around $1.8m of gross revenue based on the minimum charter period.
