Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement launches dedicated offshore division

Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) has set up a new business unit to focus on the oil and gas and offshore energy renewables markets.

The dedicated team, comprising of technical and marine superintendents, crew managers and senior management members, will support owners and operators globally by providing integrated third-party ship management services specifically to the offshore market.

The services include technical management, crew management, newbuilding supervision, fleet maintenance and repair, lay-up solutions, travel services and software application solutions.

BSM is currently active in the offshore segment, providing services to floating production units, offshore and wind energy units as well as flotels.

Sam Chambers

Starting out with the Informa Group in 2000 in Hong Kong, Sam Chambers became editor of Maritime Asia magazine as well as East Asia Editor for the world’s oldest newspaper, Lloyd’s List. In 2005 he pursued a freelance career and wrote for a variety of titles including taking on the role of Asia Editor at Seatrade magazine and China correspondent for Supply Chain Asia. His work has also appeared in The Economist, The New York Times, The Sunday Times and The International Herald Tribune.
