Aban Offshore awarded jackup contract

Indian offshore drilling contractor Aban Offshore has received a letter of award for the deployment of its jackup rig Aban VIIIoffshore Malaysia.

The contract is for a period of one year, with six three-month extension options. The rig is set to commence operations during the fourth quarter of 2018.

Aban Offshore currently operates a fleet of 15 jack up drilling rigs and two drillships.
