CNOOC chairman appointed general manager of Sinochem

Chinese state-run chemical giant Sinochem has announced the appointment of Yang Hua as the new general manager of the group under the arrangement of the central government.

Before joining Sinochem, Yang served in China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) for 37 years where he had been the chairman since 2015.

Sinochem is currently in the middle of an internal asset restructuring. Earlier this year, it sold its entire fleet of 47 chemical tankers to Junzheng Energy & Chemical Group, an Inner Mongolia-based private chemical manufacturer.
