Cosco’s new Diamond Line set to engage in intra-Europe box business

Cosco is moving all its intra-Europe box business to a new brand called Diamond Line.

Alphaliner reports that Cosco Shipping Lines (Europe), the Hamburg-based affiliate of Cosco Shipping, in charge of the carrier’s Europe area, has established Diamond Line, a wholly-owned subsidiary incorporated in Germany in July, to take over the intra-Europe trade and feeder operations from the Chinese giant.

The specific time of the transfer has yet to be announced.

According to Alphaliner data, Cosco currently operates 25 vessels with a total capacity of 52,900 teu on 16 intra-European services.
